About the event

"To not grieve is a violence to the Divine and our own hearts and especially to the dead. If we do not grieve what we miss, we are not praising what we love. We are not praising the life we have been given in order to love. If we do not praise whom we miss, we are ourselves in some way dead. So grief and praise make us alive." - Martín Prechtel

Grief-speak ~ an experiential journey exploring the wild terrain of grief

As human beings, we each carry grief, and especially over the last 18 months, we have all experienced loss to varying degrees. But as a human culture, we have disconnected from the natural way of revering grief for the transformative potency that it holds. We have forgotten how to make space for grieving what we have loved and lost, and this poverty looks and feels like a stifled and armored heart, a lostness of our spirit, and a kind of severing from our souls and the fullness of being alive.

The art of grieving is necessary now, not just for our own sake, but for the healing and wholeness of the world.

So, we invite you into re-membering grief back into the fabric of your daily existence. We welcome you to enter into a sacred conversation with grief, a dialogue that is deeper than words, that can unfold in it's own timing and pace - expressed in it's own authentic way.

Our intention is to offer a healing space for the layers of your grief and loss to be witnessed with care and held with compassionate presence.

During this intimate gathering, we will come together as a community, creating sacred space for the grief of our lives. As facilitators, we will lay the ground for your grief to be present as it is, without needing to be fixed, soothed, counselled, or changed. We will hold space for grief to move and shape us, both individually and as a group, in whatever ways are authentic to the moment.

This gathering is limited to 8 participants and is setup to be experienced live, and thus we ask that you only register if you anticipate that you can participate in all 4 x gatherings (unless in case of emergency, of course). As this will be a confidential space, and due to the nature of this work, this will be not be a recorded series.

Each gathering we will be exploring a different theme to support the unfolding and expression of your grief and loss, which will include a combination of embodiment and soulful practices, poetry, writing exercises, movement and creative expression, music and sound, sharing circles, silence, and a ceremonial container
