Join us online, Sunday, April 5th,
for The Great Remembering:
a two-hour transmission of the heart
and virtual poetry-reading ceremony
led by internationally recognized medicine poet, elder, and freedom worker, Dr. Jaiya John.
"These things for you: Your grief, for there is much to grieve. Your mercy, for your heart can use kindness from within. Joy-breaks in the bustling. The sincerity of holy Love. May you see the sacred interbeing of all things. May you care for it. May you be medicine within it. May you find stillness in the chaos, and peace be your perch as malice and madness stir in the world. Spring doesn't emerge from nowhere. It gestates in the womb of cold, hard times. You and humanity can be a springtime, too. You, we, are a bloom in the making. May the new light of day awaken in you sacred memories that carry you home."
~ Jaiya John, From "Wildflowers Praying at Midnight"

In these collapsing times of The Great Forgetting — where mindless suffering, divisive polarization, and heartless injustice ravishes so much of the world — we are in dire need of refuges of remembering, dignified communal spaces, and wise-loving teachers, that can lead us back to the soul waters of homefulness (as Jaiya so eloquently reminds us).
In this way, we are truly blessed to have this moment with a teacher, poetic elder, and Baobab Tree such as Jaiya John — who carries an immense gift of remaining rooted in both the invisible terrain of the Divine, as well as the embodied ground of our current global, and historical, socio-cultural context. The fruits that pour forth from Baba Jaiya's spirit are a true treasure for our generation and the future ones to come. As many folks have expressed in the past, it is a rare gift to gather with Jaiya in this way, and in this lifetime.
Hosted by Alexandre Jodun, Alyona Kobevka, Carl Rabke & Erin Geesemen Rabke (From A Healing Bridge, & Embodiment Matters), this virtual gathering will be a co-creation of sacred space oriented towards deep-listening, embodied presence, and meaningful togetherness. We will bask in the fresh poetic medicine of Dr. Jaiya John and his deep presence, evoking the "The Great Remembering" and what truly matters in these critical times. Jaiya will offer readings of his published books, including from his latest book release, "Wildflowers praying at midnight;" and, depending on the soul-currents that are moving, Jaiya may also share some of his unpublished writings. We will also open space for Q&A (with Dr. Jaiya) and any heartfelt reflections.
We welcome poetry lovers, soul-activists, grief-tenders, broken-hearted ones, carers of this world, and essentially, anyone who is interested in reverently participating with tipping the scales towards a more beautiful, loving, and just world. Whether you've had the blessing of gathering with Baba Jaiya in the past, or if this is your first time, we can humbly say that you're in for a nutrient-dense treat. Please, come join us.
May our gathering with Jaiya be a healing balm for each of us and our relations. May our togetherness seed wild possibilities into our dreaming earth-mother, our lineages, and our collective heart. May all beings benefit from our remembering.
